Daniel Wüstner's Lab @SDU

DW Lab

Our research group uses cutting-edge optical microscopy techniques combined with biochemical and computational methods to study dynamic processes in living cells and their alteration in certain diseases. We always aim for generating quantitative data which can be used to test predictions of current cellular models. This often requires developing new tools and part of our research is devoted to so. Our focus is primarily on two problems, namely on discovering organization principles and transport mechanisms in cellular membranes, e.g. in lysosomes, and on determining the molecular mechanisms underlying control of human metabolism by small metabolites via selected protein-ligand interactions.
